A successful Church of England aided school, in a beautiful green field setting.

Welcome to Poetry Corner

Luke S. (Y5) makes this plea:

let the teachers of our class,

set us tests that we all pass,

let them never ever care,

 about what uniform we wear.

let them always clearly state,

its ok if your homeworks late.

let them say it doesnt matter,

then we want to talk and chatter.

- let our teachers shrug and grin,

when we make an awful din.

let them tell us everyday,

there are no lessons, go and play.

let them tell our mum and dads,

we are always good never bad.

let them right in there report,

we are the best class they've ever taught!

Edward S. (Y5) makes these striking observations:

Leaves

Leaves are the dancers twisting and turning

Leaves are the servants warming the trees and the ground

doing a dance in between

Leaves are the jewels emerald green,

ruby red and valuable gold

Leaves are the army dancing in victory

Leaves are the air force swooping and gliding

Lauren K. (Y5) It must be summer

Butterflies

Butterflies , butterflies in the air .

 Butterflies , butterflies everywhere .

Flying about . On flowers with the bees .

They don't go on trees.

Edward S. (Y5) Now you know!

Reindeer

Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly.

Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly. Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly. But they prefer mince pies.

You may think that your mince pies go to Santa Claus

but really they go into the paws

of a hungry herd of reindeer,

their excuse is they pull their sleigh all night.

They also have to fight through the frosty night They eat them as they fly through the sky

and all the crumbs fall in the river Wye.

They might be quite shy.

But they wont miss a chance to snatch

a christmas pie.

Why do they take all the pies? ....

You might think that it is snowing dirty snow

but really its the reindeers flying through the sky dropping all the crumbs over the river Wye. Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly.

Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly. Reindeers like their antlers and their ability to fly. But they would rather sink their teeth into a Christmas pie.

Lauren C. (Y5) Whoa!

Rona

Rona is the horse that i ride.

With reins and a saddle and a stirrup either side.

I go to the farm and see her on Saturday.

When i finish i put her in the stable with fresh hay.
Rona is the horse that i ride.
