10 May 2007 - Choir take 3rd place at Cheltenham Festival!

Choir take 3rd place at Cheltenham Competitive Festival - on 1st attempt!

After a fantastic performance in front of a packed Cheltenham Town Hall we were delighted to to be awarded "Honours" and placed in the top three by the adjudicator Mr Malcolm Tyler.

First and second places went to Richard Pates Juniors and Berkhampstead Juniors in what was a very close finish.

Congratulations to all the choir members. Your certificate will be displayed in school.

In the meantime here is a copy to show your friends, along with the adjudicators comments.

Well Done!

Colours of the Wind

"Sustained clear and clean tone with care for words. Watch phrase ends all the time, that they get all the length they ask for!

A lot of good quality.

God Help the Outcasts

"A lovely opening tone and carefully sustained. Make sure all the words are ended clearly. Watch note values - sing right through the longer notes. I liked the building of tone in the middle. A neat ending with the jump to the G in G----o----d"
